Beispielhaft wurde im BAUPALAST am Dragoner erprobt, was auch andernorts funktionieren kann: Urbane Praxis als zentraler Baustein einer komplexen Quartiersentwicklung. Der Prototyp des BAUPALAST hat seit seinen Anfängen im Modellprojekt Rathausblock viele Erfahrungswerte gesammelt. Welche Infrastrukturen braucht es für kooperative Stadtentwicklung? Wie bringt man verschiedene Kollektive zusammen, um gemeinsam mehr zu erreichen? Wie navigiert man sich durch die Gremienlandschaft in einer komplexen Quartiersentwicklung zwischen Politik, Verwaltung und Initiativen? Wie bekomme ich eigentlich eine temporäre Bau- und Nutzungsgenehmigung und wie bleibt eine Struktur offen für neue Initiativen?

Dieses Know-how wollen wir in Form von Handreichungen und gesammelten Praxistipps an andere Stadtmacher:innen weitergeben. „How to Bau a Palast?”  ist ein gemeinsam mit Leona Lynen und Kristin Lazarova (team stadtstattstrand) entwickelter Kompass, der beim Navigieren durch den urbanen Dschungel helfen soll.

The BAUPALAST on the Dragoner was an example of what can also work elsewhere: urban practice as a central element of complex neighbourhood developments. The BAUPALAST prototype has collected a lot of experience since its beginnings in the Rathausblock model project: what infrastructures are needed for cooperative urban development? How can one bring together different collectives to achieve more together? How do you navigate through the committee landscape in a complex neighbourhood development between politics, administration and initiatives? How do you actually get a temporary building and use permit and how does a structure remain open for new initiatives?

The BAUPALAST initiatives aim to pass this know-how onto other city makers in the form of handouts and collected practical tips. “How to Bau a Palast?” is a compass developed together with Leona Lynen and Kristin Lazarova (team stadtstattstrand) to help navigate through the urban jungle.
